Wine of the Month for this year is a big winter warmer, we have a wonderful Carmenere, Chile's signature grape variety, from the Casablanca Valley. And finally having been experimenting with a few new tapas dishes such as Garlic Mushrooms, Patatas Bravas, Calamari & Flatbreads, we have added a couple of superb white to accompany them. First up a Sauvignon from Sancerre's neighbour in the Loire; Touraine expresses a creamier texture than its counterpart with hints of limes in amongst blackcurrant.
Also; Petit Mouton Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur lie, one of the worlds great seafood wines is the ultimate match for our deep fried Calamari with garlic mayo. The wine is text book Muscadet with lemon, green apple and a hint of salinity that lingers on the finish.
