Wine of the Month for this year is a big winter warmer, we have a wonderful Carmenere, Chile's signature grape variety, from the Casablanca Valley. Grant Phelps, the head winemaker at Casas Del Bosque has lead the winery to winning consecutive awards the last 2 years running of Chilean Winemaker of the Year by the IWSC.A burst of aroma and flavour. Smooth whilst concentrated flavours of plum, black cherries, cocoa with a little sweet vanilla spice & cedarwood from 9 months in French oak, its a satisfying mouthful which lingers for quite some time afterwards. would pair beautifully with Lamb and Mediterranean vegetables.

And finally having been experimenting with a few new tapas dishes such as Garlic Mushrooms, Patatas Bravas, Calamari & Flatbreads, we have added a couple of superb white to accompany them. First up a Sauvignon from Sancerre's neighbour in the Loire; Touraine expresses a creamier texture than its counterpart with hints of limes in amongst blackcurrant.
Also; Petit Mouton Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur lie, one of the worlds great seafood wines is the ultimate match for our deep fried Calamari with garlic mayo. The wine is text book Muscadet with lemon, green apple and a hint of salinity that lingers on the finish.
