Running and Raising for Child Action North West

During my daily trawl through twitter 2 weeks ago, I stumbled across a local charity in Wilpshire looking to recruit a replacement runner for the BUPA Manchester 10k. After briefly debating with myself, I looked at what Child Action Northwest (CANW) are about. It didn't take much of the glass of Cahors Malbec for me to decide what a great cause this was to incite some self motivation and reply to the tweet with my willingness to stand in.

In a nutshell these guys help children, young people and their families to ensure they are given the best opportunities they can despite the circumstances they are often exposed to, this includes but not limited to recruiting foster carers when necessary, all within our locality in and around Blackburn and Burnley.

I now find myself training and in pain but proud to be part of this event whilst humbled by the support from friends & family who have already donated/sponsored. But of course I appeal to you all again to give/sponsor me/donate to a worthy cause that is very local and helping improve our communities, even the smallest simple sacrifice of a glass of wine or a pint, everything helps!

You can either donate on my just giving page

Or Buy a guess of the time I might complete the run; last time I ran the Manchester 10k I came in in 54 mins, which I'm on track to beat (touching wood!)

Or simply buy our wine! We will be donating an amount from every bottle sold, so dig deep and enjoy the superb wines we have on offer

I will post back soon with progress and how I get on on the 26th may once the run is done!
